Perception and Correction (Michael Jordan) If you accept the expectations of others, especially negative ones, then you never will change the outcome. My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength. Accomplishments (John Wooden) Dont let what you can not do interfere with what you can do. Dont measure yourself by what you've accomplished but by what you should have accomplished with your ability Failure (Teddy Roosevelt) Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat. Setting Expectations (Tiger Woods) I'm aware if I'm playing at my best I'm tough to beat. And I enjoy that. If you are given a chance to be a role model, I think you should always take it because you can influence a person's life in a positive light, and that's what I want to do. That's what it's all about. Be Yourself (Dan Marino) I just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do. Champions (Billie Jean King) Champions keep playing until they get it right. Teaching is Understanding (Einstein) If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. Winning (Coach Chris) Winning is a balance between what is supposed to work in theory and what is executed via demonstration. Winning validates your commitment to institute a process and is a by-product of preparation and your comprehension of the rules of the game

Eagles came to play and Kaboom did not. Solid pitching by Anjelica and some good defense took a 0-0 game into the 6th. Eagles almost always had someone on 3rd threatening. Great job by the Eagles to watch pitches, be selective and keep the pressure on. Coach Chris

Game 14 Highlights (The Showdown)

A very tough game on both sides but the dominant pitching of Bad Girlz prevails. Kaboom makes alot of contact but solid D by the infield turned any sight of a threat away. When you play well and your taken down, you tip your hat and learn from it. That makes you a better player. Stay focused, in some areas that was one of your best games (making contact, staying aggressive and keeping your head up under pressure) Nice Red D killed a first inning threat. Ashley big time line drive and Sami hard shot to right side, good plays took legit hits away. Next up a Flock of Eagles! Coach Chris/Randy and Frank

Tryouts were impressive today with many players hustling and giving good efforts. 10U should have a solid base of players to choose from and all teams/coaches did a great job of getting thru a challenging process. Kudos to all of Coach Chris' former players you all looked great! It was great seeing everybody at one time today.

Game 13 Highlights

Nuff Said should be called Tough E-nuff. Solid plays on left side of infield and smart hitting/baserunning kept this close until the very last half of the last inning. Jordy makes alot of great plays at 1B to keep Kaboom threats silenced. This is a team that can make an impact during playoffs! Kaboom has first gut check with come from behind effort. Sami gets rally started with key two out hit and scored both of the first two runs to keep Kaboom off the shutout list. Daphne/Heather fend off two strike pitches and force walks to keep rally alive. Bottom forces a couple of late errors by putting ball in play for go ahead runs. Em and Daphne keep it close with pressure pitching. Kudos Kaboom for staying positive and working hard. Big showdown Wednesday night when the two undefeateds go head to head. Coach Chris/Randy and Frank
