HENDERSONVILLE Senior Grant Williams homered and pitched a complete-game shutout as the Hendersonville High School baseball team claimed a 4-0 victory over visiting Gallatin on Wednesday evening at Drakes Creek Park.
The Commandos (20-3 overall, 4-0 in the District 9-AA North Division) swept the home-and-home series, having captured a 7-3 win at Gallatin on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, Williams (2-0) limited the Green Wave to four hits while striking out six hitters.
The contest was scoreless until the Middle Tennessee State University signee hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Classmate Cooper Brenning singled in Williams in the two-run fifth inning.
Hendersonville senior Jon Swindle had two hits, with his sixth-inning single driving in junior A.J. Hart.
Brenning also had two hits as Hendersonville finished with 10.
