HHS DEFEATS TRINITY PRESBYTERIAN AL 6-1

The Commandos took the lead late in the game in a 6-1 victory over Trinity Presbyterian on Tuesday.  Trinity came into the game with a record of 18-2 on the season and highly ranked in the state of Alabama.                              

Hayden Layne earned the win on the mound for HHS with his second straight solid outing. He went seven innings, allowing one run, two hits, striking out five, and walking zero.

HHS had five hits in the game. Hayden Mullins and Brett Coker each collected multiple hits for Hendersonville.   Coker and Mullins all had two hits to lead Hendersonville Commandos Varsity

With the game tied at 1-1 in the top of the 6th the Commandos scored 5 runs to put the game out of reach.  Caid Sanders drove in a run with a bases loaded walk to make the score 2-1 and then the final blow came on a Hayden Mullins grand slam to make the final score of 6-2.  With the win HHS moves to 3-1 on the year.
