Posted by Andy Gilley on Apr 06 2016 at 05:00PM PDT

THe Commandos improved to 11-3 and 2-1 in District 9AAA while getting their first win over Mt Juliet since 2009 at Drakes Creek park on Tuesday night.

Commandos' Will Wacaser kept Mount Juliet off the scoreboard for all seven innings he was on the bump. He pitched a shutout, scattering four hits and striking out five Golden Bears.

The lead stayed with the Commandos after the third, when Brett Coker got HHS on the board with a two-out single scoring Andrew Larson who had been hit by a pitch.

Coker delivered another two-out single in the 5th to give HHS a 2-0 lead.

HHS put the game away with three runs in the sixth. The inning got off to a hot start when Brandon Fuller singled, bringing home Carter Billingsley for a 3-0 lead.  Jon Swindle drove in pinch runner Gabe Dalton with a squeeze bunt and the 5th run scored on an error to give HHS its final lead of 5-0.
