HHS DEFEATS PORTLAND 15-0 TO GET DISTRICT SWEEP

With Cam On The Mound, Hendersonville Commandos Varsity Shuts Out Portland Panthers

Cam Hansen threw a gem on Wednesday for Hendersonville Commandos Varsity, allowing zero runs and besting Portland Panthers by a score of 15-0

Hendersonville Commandos Varsity secured the victory thanks to 13 runs in the first inning. The Commandos were led offensively by Harrison Williams, Hayden Layne, Reid Nelson, Gabe Dalton, Layne, and Gaylen Rutledge, all driving in runs in the inning.                  

Hansen allowed three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking zero.

Austin Crane took the loss for Portland Panthers. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing six hits and 12 runs.

Hendersonville racked up 11 hits. Williams and Layne all collected multiple hits for Hendersonville Commandos Varsity. Layne and Williams each managed two hits to lead HHS with Layne hitting his first HR of the season.  With the win HHS improves to 2-0 on the season and 2-0 in District 9AAA.
