Clear Lake won the championship in the 2017 Gregory Portland HEB Classic.
Lake defeated John Paul 93-46 in the first round. In the second round a very scrappy Lubbuck Estacado team was defeated by Lake 87-71. In the semifinals Clear Lake won over Vandergrift High School 65-53. In the championship game Lake prevailed over Schertz Clemens 80-68.
