The Clear Lake vs Fort Bend Marshall game is always a good game but tonight's game was exceptional. Marshall came into Lake domain boasting a pre-season ranking of #3 in the state in 5A. Neither of these two very fine, well coached basketball teams deserved to lose but that's not how it works. It was a hard fought, thrilling basketball game between two noticeably prepared teams. The outcome was not decided until the last few seconds The game was very close with Lake leading by a narrow margin the entire game until 3:02 remaining in the final quarter when Marshall took the lead by 1. The lead changed 8 times in the final two minutes. The lead changed 4 times in the last 45 seconds. What a game!
Despite going 3 of 9 from the free throw line Jeremiah Maldonado led his team with 35 points. Ajare Sanni contributed 22. Clear Lake went 18 of 26 from the free throw line (69.2%). Marshall's free throw percentage was higher.
