Season Game 4: Clear Lake over Deer Park 66-64

In the first home game of the 2017-18 season Clear Lake hosted our neighbors from Deer Park in a close match-up that went right to the wire. Both these teams were well prepared and ready. Deer Park's head coach Darren Chandler, former Clear Falls head coach, fielded a disciplined, well-rounded squad with four starters returning this year.  Although the lead changed multiple times throughout the game it never really felt like Lake was not in control even when the Falcons were trailing.

Both teams shot the ball very well. Scoring for Lake was very balanced. Ajare Sanni was again out due to tendonitis but junior Casey Davis, with 19 points, stepped up to help Lake prevail. Davis again amazed the crowd with 70% shooting from the field (5 treys). Newcomer Jamail Pink also had 19 very timely points (Jamail also shot 70% from the field). Zaid Harris chipped in 14 (71% from the field). The largest lead of the game was 8 points I believe.

It is early in the season but Lake players could learn a thing or two about how to play in the paint from their Deer Park rivals.
