Dayton Fangs Release 2007-2008 Season Schedule

Kettering, Oh – The Dayton Fangs Women’s Ice Hockey Team, organized as a non-profit corporation under the laws of Ohio, today announced their upcoming season schedule featuring league competition, exhibition games, and tournaments.             

A Pre-season match-up will be held at 5:30 p.m. on September 15, 2007 at the Kettering Recreation Complex, in Kettering at 2900 Glengarry Drive, against the Cincinnati Rising Stars (POWHA). The Fangs are 0-4-1 against the Rising Stars.

Competing for the second year in the Pennsylvania-Ohio Women’s Hockey Association (POWHA), the Fangs, the Miami Valley’s only women’s ice hockey team, open their season on the road against the Cleveland Heights Ice Hawks. After competing against the Strongsville Stingers, the Fangs will return to Kettering for their home opener on October 14th at 3:30 p.m. to face the Cincinnati Rising Stars in league competition.The season will wrap up with this season’s POWHA playoffs held April 12^th and 13^th at SportsPlus in Cincinnati, OH.

All home games are held at the Kettering Recreation Complex. Attendance is free and open to the public.  Dayton Fangs Women’s Ice Hockey, Inc., serves to promote, encourage, and facilitate the increased physical activity of women and girls through the sport of ice hockey.
