The Washington Township Senators begin 2008 play with a home match at Deptford High School against the Bordentown Patriots, a former 28+ team making their debut in the SJMSBL's newly minted 35+ Division. Chris Lawrence will have the baseball for the Senators, as they begin their quest to recapture the league championship they relinquised to the Delco Astros last season.
With both John DiPietro and Dan Barbara on the shelf for the opener, the Senators lineup (subject to change) will look like this:

The Senators will have batting practice Wednesday night at the WTHS batting cage as a tune-up to the big game.
Ellie Koerner, daughter of former Senator great Dave Koerner, will be on hand to throw out the ceremonial first ball. The Senators have made Ellie an honorary captain, and have dedicated their season to her as she battles -- and BEATS -- ALL.
