For the second consecutive season, John DiPietro is the 38+ Senator Cy Young Award Winner. DiPietro is likely to spoil his teammates, as his success has come to be an afterthought. In '06, the righthander went 4-2 with a miniscule 1.60 ERA, fanning 46 batters in 53-1/3 innings of work, while walking only 19. He did his best work in the championship game, shutting out the heavy-hitting Tabernacle Tigers 3-0 as the Nats won it for the second year in a row.
