Steele Canyon High School Women's Soccer

After suffering it's first league game to Santana 2-1 in the rain and cold, the Cougars bounced back at home to beat Granite Hills 2-0 at the Steele Canyon Girls Soccer Complex. Although the Cougars dominated the game, goals were hard to come by until early in the 2nd half, when JILL FIENBERG knocked in MEGAN VARNEY's beautiful header shot that hit the goal post. The shutout was anchored by GK JESSI BRUCE, and another great performance by defenders BECCA SANDERS, SARAH YOUNG, KELSEY RICHARDSON, SUZANNE MACNAUGHTON, EMELY RODRIGUEZ, SARAH DIEM, and SARAH McLIN.
