Despite more than half the team earning season or career-best times, the Bucs couldn't shake Caesar Rodney at home Wednesday. The CR boys packed in a 20-39 win, while the CR girls took control, 16-47. In the boys race, junior Keith Short and freshman Stuart Barr challenged CR's pack and settled for career-best times in the 18s after Chad Carpenter took the overall win. Scott Hall, Jon Wyman, Brandon Miller and Joey Palumbo rounded out the varsity 7, while Chris Demby, Nick Creasey, Matt Oliver and Brandon Rogers earned career-best times. Ben Smith and Chris Battaglia scored season-best times. For the girls, Amy Mallamo earned her home-course best with a 21:40 while Lindsay Kenton, Jessica Fitzpatrick, Kourtney Short, Megan Pastor, Mallory Littleton, Amber Zedney, Brigid O'Neill, Rosie Seagraves, Ashley Zimmerman and Maire O'Neill came up with personal bests.
