Shelbyville Lady Golden Bears Basketball

Varsity: The Lady Bears had the first game jitters early by falling behind in the first quarter 17-11. Then Susan Kolls sparked the Bears off the bench to a lead at half 25-24. The Bears owned the third quarter building a 44-32 lead and coasted to the final score of 68-55. Leading scorers for the home team was Sarah Laird with 16 and Susan Kolls with 15. The Bears showed their depth and balance with eleven players seeing action and the scoring rounded out as follows: Jenni Ross 11, Ashley Matney 7, Gretchen Haehl 10, Haley Wise 4, Gwen Haehl 3, and Ashley Coy 2 All-Star candidate and Western Ky bound Sarah Riedeman had 22 for Greensburg. JV: Lady Bears win 48-23 with leading scorers Haley Wise (14 pts)and Katie Jackson (11 pts) playing agressively at both ends of the floor. Other scorers include: Horner 10, S.
