| La Mirada Cross Country Teams Victorious! In the second week of Suburban League competition, both the Varsity Boys and Girls teams defeated Bellflower High School at La Mirada Regional Park. Check

- The Lady Mats (6-0) outscored the
defending Suburban League champions by a score of 20 - 43.
Leading the way for the Matadores was AMBER MORRISON who completed
the 3.1 miles course in 21:00. Amanda Stephens, Audrey
Serrata, Gretchen Witowich and Alisa Sanchez
finished close behind as the La Mirada team captured the 2 through
11 spots in the race.
- Freshman Nathaniel Moore (18:02) led
the way in the boy’s race, with Dag Tesfaye, Alex Foster,
Jared Bird, and Jason Cabalitan close behind.
The boys are now 1 - 2 in league competition.
- The boy’s Frosh-Soph team (3 - 0) defeated
Belflower 21 - 34. Congratulations to Jake Cooley on
his 1st place finish!
Next Thursday the Matadores take on a
strong Mayfair team at Mayfair High School.
