MAVERICKS TOP CARLSBAD 7 - 2 IN KEY BATTLE FOR LEAGUE TITLE

On May 10th the Mavericks (11-1, 20-5) beat Carlsbad (8-3, 19-6) by a score of 7-2 in the first game of a three game series with the second place Lancers in a key Avocado West League match up. Vista (8-3, 20-6) which handed the Mavericks the one league loss and beat Carlsbad 2 out of 3 games is now poised to leapfrog over Carlsbad into second place.
