Team Scores Attached

The Middle School swim team dominated at the “Battle for the Crown” Invitational meet against 13 teams on Saturday, November 7th!! The boys team got 1st place and went home with the Championship Plaque. The boys team lead in points by Andrew A, Mac B, and Alex C. The girls came in at a very close 4th place. Lead in points by Olivia G and Caitlin W. Over all it was a great experience for the whole team, especially being the first meet for many of our middle school swimmers.

The Village School Middle School Swim Team is ready for their second season of competition. They will swim under the leadership of Head Coach Stephanie Phillips. Coach Phillips was a competitive swimmer for 10 years, coached competitive swimming for seven years, and has head coached a team in Katy over the summer for the past 2 years. Doug Buckalew will also be working with the MS Swimmers

Under a partnership agreement with Energy Core Swimming, the team is holding formal practices on Tuesday and Saturday, while relying on the swimmers to attend their USA Swimming Club’s regularly scheduled practices in order to compliment their training.

Mac Boyle leads the Viking MS Men’s team this year and will hope to claim a spot atop the podium at the MS Champs this year along with the other Men’s Viking Swimmers

Olivia Gore who is coming off a very successful season with the Vikings last year will lead the Lady Viking Swimmers. Olivia and the other Viking MS Swimmers are hoping to repeat their success from last year with a Championship Trophy at the Private School Championships.

The entire staff is excited about this second season and is greatly encouraged by the prospects of another Championship.

Last Week
Congratulations to the Village School High School Swim Team and all the swimmers who competed at the Private School Invitational at the new LCISD Natatorium. Everyone put forth a great effort and the Women’s Team finished in 8th place, while the Men’s Team finished 13th.
**All paperwork must be turned in by Tuesday, November 3rd at the start of practice you will not be able to participate in swimming for the VS.
