The High School Cross Country team is also under new leadership. Head Coach, Scott Mastro, is bringing a great energy and thoughtful training regimen to the program. The Vikings have already started training and are running well for their new coach. The Vikings are led by Sophomore runner, Ben Abueg, who is looking to build on his incredible Freshman campaign when he finished top 6 in district and top 25 in the state for TAPPS- 4A. The Vikings also return Senior, Alvaro Iturmendi, who also qualified for the state meet last year. The Vikings first meet is on Saturday, August 29th at 8:00am. The meet will be held at Houston Amateur Sports Complex. Come support your Viking runners!
