You won't see many games like this one. Monday (6/24) Night's Game: Post Oak 2 Kyle Chapman 1. All of the pitchers for both Kyle Chapman and Post Oak were at the top of their game tonight. Pitching for both teams was superb, the defenses were flawless, and there were very few baserunners. Unfortunately for Kyle Chapman, Post Oak's Hunter Rome homered over the left field fence in the top of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie, and send Post Oak to represent District 2 in Baytown. Kyle Chapman will begin play for real on Saturday, July 13th at 4:00 PM when they play Brazos Valley in the District Tournament at Montgomery County PONY Field. PO 1st Inning--Jeremy Gould pitching for KC: Imber, McConn, and Rome all struck out. KC 1st inning--Andrew Wright pitching for PO: Moore popped to second base; Swindell grounded out pitcher to first; Will struck out. PO 2nd inning--Lamp singled and stole second base; Wright struck out; Holland doubled down the left field line; Holmes struck out; Brown struck out. KC 2nd inning--Atherton popped out to shortstop; Silberman flied to centerfield; Gould grounded out second to first. PO 3rd inning--Feinsilver singled to left field; Imber flew out to right field; McConn flew out to left field; Rome struck out. KC 3rd inning--Shufelt grounded out short to first; Redding was out pitcher to first base; Marshall struck out. PO 4th inning--Ross Haggard pitching for KC: Lamp was hit by a pitch; Wright struck out; Holland was out on a flyball to centerfield; Holmes grounded out third to first; KC 4th inning--Moore grounded out third to first; Swindell struck out; Wills bounced out second to first. PO 5th inning--Brown grounded out pitcher to first; Feinsilver walked and stole second base; Imber popped out to the secondbaseman; McConn flew out to rightfield. KC 5th inning--Atherton doubled over the leftfielders head and the ball bounced over the fence for a ground rule double; Silberman was out catcher to first with Atherton moving to third; Gould grounded out second to first with Atherton scoring; Haggard lined out to leftfield. PO 6th inning--Rome hit a homerun over the left field fence; Lamp flew out to the leftfielder; Wright struck out; Holland struck out. KC 6th inning--Simon Feinsilver now pitching for PO. Redding struck out with the ball getting away from the catcher but was thrown out at first base; Marshall was called out on strikes; Moore struck out. PO 7th inning--Alex Atherton now pitching for KC. Lange was called out on strikes; pinchhitter Webb popped out to the thirdbaseman; Feinsilver struck out. KC 7th inning--Swindell bounced out second to first; Wills walked to become the second baserunner for KC; Atherton was falled out on strikes; Silberman grounded out third to first. Post Oak had 2 runs, 4 hits, committed no errors, and left 4 men on base. Kyle Chapman had 1 run, 1 hit, committed no errors, and left 1 man on base. Pitching for Post Oak: Andrew Wright allowed 1 run, 1 hit, walked none, and struck out 3 in 5 innings. Simon Feinsilver allowed 0 runs, 0 hits, walked one, and struck out 4 in 2 innings.
