The KC 13y/o Titans are mainly made up of 13 year olds but the team received a big boost this weekend aiding us in advancing to the Westbury Summer Classic V. Championship Game (to be played Tuesday Night at 7:30 at the Westbury Little League, Sr. Field). The Westbury Tournament included 9 teams that are 14 and under. The Titans defeated a combined League City, Friendswood, Alvin area team Saturday Night and a 14 year old solid Sagemont team Sunday afternoon 4-3 in extra innings. The semifinal was a nail biter from the first pitch until the end. After the Titans scored two runs in the first two innings the Sagemont team brought in their hard throwing right hander who held the Titans in check; however the Titans scratched their way to score two runs in the last 5 innings to claim the victory. The 13 year olds playing in this Tournament are Brian Borski, Cameron Brown, Alex Cernoch, Aaron Dushkin, George Murphy, Karl Pringle, and Mark Robichau. The 14 year olds that provided the shot in the arm are, Hunter Johnson, Michael Johnson (who played with the team on Sunday), Chris St. Aubin (who played Saturday), Matthew Strom (who played Sunday) and Gerry Morrison (who played both Saturday and Sunday). If you are on Chimney Rock heading south, you take a left on Dryad, which is where the Westbury High School Baseball Field is, you continue down Dryad until it dead ends. You then take a right into the Westbury Little League complex and continue all the way back, where you will see the Senior Field is on the right.
