2017-2018 UPPER PERK WRESTLING REGISTRATION
WHO: Boys & Girls from Kindergarten to 6th Grade. Also, any 7th-8th graders who want to participate in any ICWL events must register online (no charge).
WHAT: The Upper Perkiomen Takedown Club offers instructional and competitive wrestling for residents within the Upper Perkiomen School District. Our youth club competes in the Inter County Wrestling League (ICWL) and various tournaments throughout the season. This program is set up and intended to feed the Middle School and High School teams with scholar athletes, well rounded in the sport of wrestling. See our FAQ page to answer many common questions.
WHERE/WHEN: Online Registration is recommended. Youth on-site registration is available at the upcoming parents meeting on 11/1/17 and on 11/6/17 during practice at the Upper Perk High School wrestling room from 7:30-8:30pm.
Youth COST: $110 Registration + $20 lottery tickets + $50 Uniform Deposit
$110.00 Registration Fee. Registration fee contributes to club sponsored tournaments, wrestling t-shirt, food and awards for wrestlers at end of year banquet, and USA Wrestling membership. Each additional sibling is $90.00.
$20.00 Lottery Ticket Fundraiser. Each family will receive (4) $5.00 Lottery Tickets to sell. Sell them, keep the cash and recoup your $20.00. Return date for ticket stub TBA.
$50.00 Uniform Deposit. Deposit will be returned to you when uniform is returned in same undamaged condition as when you received it. To collect this fee, we will ask for a written check. The check should be made out to “UPTC”. Include in the notes “uniform deposit”. The uniform deposit check must be handed in at the parents meeting or during the first week of practice.
*** First year wrestlers who are not sure if wrestling is his/her sport. The first two weeks of the season can be a trial period for first year wrestlers. However, in order to practice, a USA wrestling card is required for insurance purposes. The wrestler must be registered and pay the $30 charge before practicing. This registration is available online as well. Balance of registration will be collected approximately 11/20/17.
INSURANCE: All participants must be covered by 24 Hour School Hazard Insurance or by a private health care plan. Your child may not participate if not covered by insurance. Please contact your head coach for questions associated with insurance.
