Holiday Tourney Game 2: NR defeats Stoneham 19-13

On Tuesday eveneing, the North Reading Lady Hornets defeated Stoneham 19-13 in a game that was a defensive battle.   North Reading opened up with a 7-2 lead but could not pull away in the first half.  Stoneham went on a run at the end of the half to take the lead 8-7 at the half.   The North Reading girls turned up the defense in the second half and pulled out to a lead that they never relinquished.   The final score was 19-13.

Holiday Tourney Game 1: NR defeats Arlington 27-9

The North Reading Girls defeated Arlington 27-9 on Monday afternoon in Game 1 of the Holiday Tourney.  The NR girls played great defense throughout the game which helped fuel their fast break and led to many layups.

North Reading Girls 6 lose to Dracut

The North Reading Girls 6 team lost to a tough Dracut team on Sunday by a score of 27 - 12.  The Lady Hornets could not get any shots to fall early but held Dracut to only 10 first half points.   Dracut warmed up to extend their lead in the second half to win by 15.
