North Reading Girls 6 beat Beverly for first RVL win

The North Reading Girls 6 won their first RVL game of the season by a score of 25 -18. The North Reading Girls played well defensively again but could not get the ball to fall for a second straight game. They led 10 -8 at the half and were able to extend that lead in the second half to 11 points. A couple of late baskets by Beverly made it a 7 point game.
North Reading Girls 6 lose to Peabody 22-16

The girls from North Reading lost another tough game to Peabody by a score of 22-16. The NR girls could not get their shots to fall and struggled throughout the game to find their shooting touch. They were down 12 -7 at the half and made a run to cut the lead to 2 point in the second half but could not get a closer and lost by 6 points.
Holiday Tourney Girls 6B Final: North Reading defeats Tyngsboro 20 - 19

The North Reading Girls 6 team defeated Tyngsboro on Thursday night to win the Fundamental Hoops 6B tournament. It was a hard fought battle where North Reading trailed for all but the last 29 seconds of the game. The NR girls went on a late charge to pull out the 1 point victory.

The North Reading girls defeated Wakefield by a score of 25-9 in the semi-final game of the Girls 6B bracket of the Fundamental Hoops tournament. The NR Girls played amazing defense throughout the game which led to numerous steals and fast breaks. The win put the NR girls into the bracket final.
