Age Determination Date Change for 2016
Little League has changed the "League Age" determination date for Baseball players for the 2016 season. The two driving reasons for the change are to keep 13 year olds out of the Little League World Series and to assure kids get to play with their grade. Specific details of the change can be read HERE. Volunteering for Grafton Little League
Grafton Little League functions almost exclusively through volunteer efforts. It takes a large and dedicated group of passionate volunteers to deliver a successful Little League program for our players and parents.
Each year our need for volunteers is great. To put things in perspective, each year we have about 475 children playing on 40 teams; 122 volunteers serve as managers or coaches and another 23 volunteers serve on the Board of Directors. In addition, numerous volunteers assist with registration, equipment management, field cleanup\preparation, bookkeeping, concessions and event planning. Every year, several people end up serving in two or more positions because we don't have enough volunteers.
We are always searching for energetic volunteers to serve as Board Members, Coaches and Concession Workers (we also need volunteers to help with our new Little League complex). If you are looking for a challenge and a way to give back to your community while serving almost 500 children each season, please consider volunteering for Grafton Little League; we are confident that you will make many new friends and find it a very rewarding experience.

Challengers League Buddy Volunteers Needed!
The Challenger team is for individuals ages 4-18 (or up to 21 if still enrolled in high school) who have physical or developmental disabilities. We need volunteers to be one-on-one buddies for our Challenger players. Buddies assist the players by teaching them the rules of the game and encouraging the players to bat and make plays as much as they can on their own.
We are looking primarily for high school and college aged volunteers; however younger teens will be considered for our younger players.
