STRIVING TO CROWN THE FIRST MINOR LEAGUE TEXAS STATE CHAMPION!

The Lone Star Minor League Football News required QUALIFICATIONS for its First State of Texas Minor League Championship are as follows: ( LSMLFNEWS reserves the right to modify or change the requirements if necessary based on discussions or emails by participating teams prior to or at the scheduled meeting in October)

1. Must be a 2009 league champion or a division champion of a league based or participating in Texas.
2. Must sign and agree in writing to participate and follow rules implemented for the State Championship Tournament.

8 teams are being sought:

Determining factors for seating in the tournament are by TOTAL points awarded after adding and subtracting the following factors based on 2009 schedules:

First Factor:

1. Team with best Win Loss Record    10 points
2. 2^nd best Win and Loss Record          9 points
3. 3^rd best Win and Loss Record          8 points
4. 4^th best Win and Loss Record          7 points
5. 5^th best Win and Loss Record          6 points
6. 6^th best Win and Loss Record          5 points
7. 7^th best Win and Loss Record          4 points
8. 8^th best Win and loss Record           3 points

Second Factor:                                                                   Third Factor:   Forfeits

1. Team traveling the furthest    10 points                      0 - forfeits    PLUS     10 points
2. 2^nd furthest                                9 points                     Each forfeit   MINUS  5 points         
3. 3^rd furthest                                 8 points
4. 4^th furthest                                7 points
5. 5^th furthest                                6 points
6. 6^th furthest                                5 points
7. 7^th furthest                                4 points
8. 8^th furthest                                3 points

IF THERE ARE ONLY 7,6,5,4,3,OR ONLY 2 TEAMS THE SEATING WILL BE DONE USING THE SAME FACTORS. 

THE SEMI FINAL GAME WILL BE A DOUBLE HEADER AND HOSTED AT A SITE TO BE DETERMINED. 

( UNLESS OTHERWISE DISCUSSED AND AGREED TO BY TEAMS AT A MEETING SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER, THE SEMI FINAL WILL BE A DOUBLE HEADER ) 

THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WILL BE AT A SITE TO BE DETERMINED.

CONTRACTS CURRENTLY ARE BEING SOUGHT AND WILL BE POSTED, ONCE A DEPOSIT IS IN PLACE TO RESERVE THE FACILITIES.

THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE, AND TEAMS MUST BE PREPARED TO TRAVEL AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE.

STADIUM, OFFICIALS, SECURITY, LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR ATTENDEES NOT FOR PLAYERS,AND EMT COSTS WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE LSMLFNEWS.

TEAMS PARTICIPATING MUST DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE SURE THEIR PLAYERS ARE INSURED, AS IS CUSTOMARY IN MINOR LEAGUE AND SEMI PRO FOOTBALL.
