Noone Leads Chiefs to 9-5 Win Over Malden Maddogs

(Malden, MA) Ryan Noone (pictured) drove in three runs to lead the Chiefs to a 9-5 win over the Malden Maddogs on Tuesday night at Maplewood,

The Maddogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning before the Chiefs cut the lead in half and then erupted for six runs in the top of the fifth to take a 7-1 lead.

Tim Dunphy (3-2) went the first 5.1 innings to get the win. Shai Cohen (0.2 innings) and A.J. Rourke (1 inning) finished up on the mound.

Miles Reid and Joe Bova each had two hits, a double, and drove in two runs for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs stay busy over the next two days. Tonight they host the Lexington Bulldogs at Maplewood and on Thursday they will travel to Lexington High to face the Blue Sox. Both games will start at 8:00 PM.
