Legacy Dance Company

The "Legacy Dance Company" was formed in 1990 as a Performing Arts Ensemble. It is made up of talented dancers who strive for excellence in all disciplines of dance. The Company has performed at Six Flags Great Adventure, the Piscataway & Edison Street Fairs, Multicultural Fairs, Sterling Village Assisted Living, Somerset Patriots Games, Izod Center, St. Jude's Children Benefits, Walt Disney World and Las Vegas. Throughout the years the company has won hundreds of awards at various competitions throughout the area, as well has many specialty judge's awards and honors given throughtout the competition circuit.  In the spring of 2017, the Destined to Dance instructors were awarded "Best Concept" at Precision Arts Challenge at their Somerset Regionals for our production Batman.

How do I become a member of Legacy? 

There are NOT auditions to become a Legacy Dance Company member. Any dancer currently enrolled at Destined to Dance may receive an invitation for the company in mid September to early October. Only select students will receive an invitation. Company classes meet once a week. Company fees will be charged annually. There are some requirments that apply. If you have any questions please contact Miss Amanda at Destined to Dance !

 

Legacy Dance Company Summer Intensive August 7-11th The Legacy Dance Company intensive is for all current legacy dance company members, and students that are interested in joining our 2017-2018 team. (participation in the intensive does NOT guarantee membership into the dance company although strong consideration will be made)

Please talk to your dance teacher to see if this intensive is right for you. Ages 8 and up 10am-2pm (10-11:30am technique class, 11:30am-12 Lunch *please send your child with a lunch) 12-2pm choreography) $150 for the week Any company member that does NOT participate in this intensive will not be permitted to perform in the choreography. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Technique class will be taught by a different instructor daily. We will focus on technique as well as flexibility, balance and specialty tricks. Choreography will be taught for our company production to be performed in competition and community events.
