Our special practice that we had at Kennedy HS went very well. The boys had a lot thrown at them but they all responded and caught on very quickly. Coach Kevin mentioned that the team was very good and were learning defenses that high school players have a hard time with. He was impressed with the overall ability of all 9 players and how they played as a team at this young age. We went over various half court traps, the 1-1-3 defense, a new press break and three different full court traps. We will continue to evaluate the various defenses and will probably hold some special dedicated practices throughout the next few months to see which ones we feel comfortable with as a team. Our first official SEYO practice will be held this upcoming Saturday 11/4/06. We are unsure of the time and location but we will update the website as soon as we find out. The VFW Force family also wants to wish the Garcia family "Good Luck" and a safe trip to their Hula competition this upcoming weekend in Northern California. "GO HULA FORCE" Have a great week !!! Mark
