CHICAGO MARIST TRACK AND FIELD

On Friday, January 12, 2007, 120 athletes attended the Northside Track & Field Information Meeting. The 2007 Northside Track & Field Team will be the largest sports Team in the history of Northside College Prep. Based on the Athletic profiles turned in at the meeting, Northside Head Coach Jon Gordon could only describe the 2007 Team with one word, "Awesome". Northside Head Coach Jon Gordon predicts that every school record will be broken in 2007 on our way to the State Meet. Exciting plans for the 2007 season, include a season schedule that is second to none, Team Tailgate Partys, 2-3 buses for every meet, the use of an Indoor Track within half-mile of Northside, new hurdle and throws equipment, a major upgrade in the coaching staff, and a dramatic increase in new uniforms. Northside Head Coach Jon Gordon has received several emails and phone calls from athletes that couldn't make the meeting, and expects the number of athletes on the Team to be close to 150 athletes by Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Friendly reminder, all athletes must have a "New" players record for Track season on or before our first practice, and a new "stamped" physical or a current "stamped" physical on file with the athletic department from a Fall or Winter sport.
