Matmen Canned Food Drive
Bring to December 16th Practice

Dear wrestlers & parents,

The Cary Matmen wrestling club is conducting a canned food drive for the McHenry county food pantry in Cary. There are many people in our community less fortunate than us and we would like to help make their holiday season as enjoyable as it can be.

We are asking that each wrestler be responsible for bringing 5 to 10 canned goods on the December 16th practice. From there, after practice we will transport the goods to the food pantry located in Cary.

In collecting your canned goods we ask you not to bring your goods from home only. The idea is to make this a community activity by collecting a single canned good from each neighbor and explaining your purpose. We feel this is a great way for your involvement in a charity activity, as well as getting the community involved itself.

The Cary Matmen wrestling club is more than about wrestling. It's about individual accountability, responsibility and being the best we can be in anything we are involved in. This is why the club offers to pay for wrestling camps during the off season and has a continuing educational scholarship fund for all wrestlers that meet the criteria.

We hope that the things we do and talk about in the wrestling room help support your own values, morals and work ethic you promote in your own home.

We appreciate you support in helping us make this a successful drive.

Sincerely,
The Cary Matmen coaching staff
