ZUMA BEACH, CA - TOYOTA ONE was the appropriately named Mixed Relay team of Michele Brown (Toyota employee), secret Swiss racing weapon Ian Pyott, and Coach Michael Collins (Real Toyota Tundra Owner commercial guy). They combined to win the Mixed Relay Category in 1:20:24, and had the second fastest overall relay time behind the all Male team title sponsor Nautica put together (1:19:22).

Michele led off the relay to do swim despite a swollen and weak ankle from a recent twist and fall. She wrapped it up before the race, so she could cover the significant distance to hand off the timing chip to Ian Pyott who smoked one the fastest overall bike splits of the day averaging 25.9 MPH for the hilly 18 mile course (almost as fast as a Prius). After completing the fastest Transition 2 relay exchange split of day (:55 seconds), Michael Collins took off to run the 2nd fastest Relay run time of the day (23:16) averaging 5:49 mile pace for the 4 mile course.

The Toyota One Relay won the Mixed Category by a whopping 9 minutes and 12 seconds.
