Multisports Orange County (CA)

LA QUINTA, CA - Multisports OC members Ian Pyott and Brandy Bounds were the overall male and female champions at the Pumpkin Man Sprint Triathlon held October 16, 2005 at Lake Cahilla in La Quinta. This is the second race in less than a month that the two were overall champs as they recently both won overall titles at the Long Beach Triathlon. Multisports OC also took the Team Cup Championship title due to numerous podium finishes in several age groups. Coach Michael Collins was 4th overall (but the first American), in winning the 35-39 age group. Louis Bednar was not far behind finishing 5th overall and winning the 30-34 age group. Second place finishers included Tracy White (40-44), Arnold "the pig" Ziffel (45-49), Karen Mastro (50-54), Klim Granovsky (55-59), Joel "the heaviest Mole" Rodgers (2nd in Clydesdale), and the Men's Relay Team "HB Surfers" of Michael Wichman and Dean Weitz.
