Stan Wisniewski Leads DEA to 4-0 Shutout Over Lynnfield

Posted by Dale Dubois on May 01 2005 at 05:00PM PDT
Stan Wisniewski would net two goals to lead DEA Bedford to a 4-0 shutout of the Lynnfield Raiders yesterday in Lynnfield. Bedford showed up with an impressive crew of players for this away game and controlled the play right from the opening kickoff. Stan would get things going early as he would register his first goal at the ten minute mark from a Jim McCall cross. DEA kept up the pressure with good passing on the not so smooth field. Tony Alvanos would take net duties and he would come up huge on two very well placed Raider shots. Tony would position himself just right to make the saves that would earn DEA's first shutout of the season. DEA's next goal was an absolute blast from Jim Kellogg from about 25 yards out. Bedford was on a corner kick and the ball would come across to Dale Dubois' head. The head ball would deflect up and back to the charging Kellogg. Jim would volley a shot the hit the inside top cross bar and rip into the back of the net for DEA's 2nd goal. The half would end with this score and the rain would begin to fall again. The second half was more of the same domination by Bedford. Stan would collect his second goal of the day as the result of some good passing. Rick Plichta would make a nice outlet pass to Dan Roberge. Dan would take a touch on the ball and hit Stan up top. Wisniewski would not disappoint earning his third goal of the season. Jim McCall would round out the scoring for DEA on a Jim Pellerin feed. Jim McCall would deke a few defenders and hit side netting for Bedford's final tally. DEA looked very sharp all around in this outing. They head home for the next two games at Legacy park in Bedford. Next Sunday DEA looks for its 3rd win in a row against the Grey Goats of Westford. Game time is 10:30 AM so you can sleep in a bit. Maybe Mark Major will be up by then.
