Rockets take the field at AFA 14 U Nationals
The Olathe Rockets were very busy on Monday July 18th. The day begin with the opening ceremonies, held at Free State High School in Lawrence, KS. which introduced 56 teams to this years National Tournament. A huge BBQ and Social took place shortly after the ceremonies, however some of the Rockets went to movies, visited Kansas University Museums and more throughout the day.

The day begin with the opening ceremonies, held at Free State High School in Lawrence, KS. which introduced 56 teams to this years National Tournament. A huge BBQ and Social took place shortly after the ceremonies, however some of the Rockets went to movies, visited Kansas University Museums and more throughout the day.
The Olathe Rockets took the field later that night at 6:00 PM against the Oklahoma Eliminators only to discover their first defeat during pool play. Cassie Plummer tied the game back up and sent both teams into an International Tie Breaker. But the Olathe Rockets couldn't hold on and gave up 3 more runs against the Oklahoma Eliminators. Cassie was later awarded the MVP award for an excellent game both offensively and defensively. Way to go Cassie!
