Who We Are

Posted by David Pierce on Feb 17 2004 at 04:00PM PST
Thank you for inquiring about MadDog WRESTLING ACADEMY. Our program is open to athletes ages 4 to 14, of all levels and abilities. We teach, we develop, and we train Champions for Life. Founded in 1998, MadDog Academy was created from the former Schaumburg Shooters & Jr. Saxon WC. Our Wrestling School develops young athlete's in the sport of Wrestling for the local Jr. High and High Schools. Our goals are to develop sportsmanship, discipline, self-esteem and achievement. We assist in the development of strength and conditioning and teach the proper wrestling techniques. Participants will be provided with insurance and a membership card that will enable them to participate in any IKWF, IAWA, and USA (Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation) sanctioned tournament held under the auspices of the IKWF. This includes the state tournament series. We want every child’s experience in the MadDog Wrestling program to be a positive one that they will take with them the rest of their lives. As a participant each child will experience many character-building qualities like physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, success and failure, and commitment. They will appreciate the sense of accomplishment that they achieve personally and as a part of a team. Our goal above all is to be sure your child is having fun within a safe and positive atmosphere. Are you bad enough to be a MadDog! PARTICIPATION Wrestling participation is based on age, weight, and experience. Kids get to develop, train, and compete against other kids just like them.
