Riverside Hockey Club

Mentor Junior Varsity team proved too much for the Riverside Club Hockey team on Sun. Dec. 7 as Riverside lost 1 - 7. Highlighting Riverside's play was an outstanding performance in goal by Stephen DiMatteo. DiMatteo had 25 saves with many shot coming off Mentor breakaways. Riverside's lone goal came in the second period at the hands of Eric Clayton with help from teammate Matt Cicero. Riverside had 22 shots on net but was denied by Mentor's strong goalkeeping. Riverside Club Hockey hopes to improve its record this week at a Gilmour Club tournament. Riverside's games are currently schedule for: Thursday vs Mooney Ursiline @ 6:30 PM- Old Rink Saturday vs North Royalton @ 12:15 PM - Old Rink Saturday vs Gilmour JV @ 8:30 PM- Old Rink Sunday vs Hudson JV @ 11:15 AM- Old Rink All games will be played at the Gilmour Ice Arena on Gilmour Academy's campus in Gates Mills.
