NEK Lady Deuces 3-point specialist and former Riley County Falcon standout Katie Wendland, Leonardville, Kan., has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Bethany for the 2007-2008 academic year. Wendland, a two-year tri-captain with the Lady Deuces, served as co-captain on a Riley County team that advanced to the KSHSAA 3A state tournament. She hit a game-ending three-pointer to force overtime in Riley County’s 33-31 victory over Rock Creek in the substate championship game. Good luck, Wendy!
