We got a good turnout in the inaugural year, and in the second year, the program was even bigger than we expected with 16 teams in two divisions. In the first two years, all costs were paid by MLL President and Coach, Todd Coyle, but this year, the Manhattan Little League Board insisted that we use an unexpected surplus of funds from this season, to pay for the program. There will be no practices required but up to two opportunities per week to play real games.
We will have four divisions this year

Free 3rd Annual Summer Baseball Camp Use this handout to register for the summer league, camp or both: Summer 2003 ages 6-12 reg form We will also be putting on a free week long baseball camp again this year for those kids registered who want some more skills and as a relief for parents who are tired of paying huge amounts for all of these summer camps. It will be from 9AM to 1PM Monday through Friday, because I believe that an all day clinic is too much for kids to stay focused and to have fun at. 3-4 hours is much more reasonable. This camp was a huge success and most kids said it was their favorite camp of the summer.
Cost of participation: Free also!
Instructors: No additional charge to 2003 MBLL participants! Paid instructors as well as Coach Todd Coyle and other volunteer coaches. We will also bring in professional coaches and instructors to help with the clinic/camp. We desperately need volunteers to take the week off and help, so please sign up today to be a coach at the camp. If you would like your older kids to help out, they are welcome also.
Who can participate: MLL registered players between the ages of 6 and 10 as of July 31, 2003 (THIS SEASON'S AGE)
Team Uniforms: Camp t-shirts provided by Coach Todd or MLL.
When: July 28 to August 1.
Time: 9AM to 1PM. Monday through Friday

League designation in team names

Posted by Dennis Kane at May 31, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Due to the fact that we have teams with the same name in different leagues and because the site doesn't always cite the league name when a team is listed (e.g. games on the front page or in the calendar), we need to select a method for including league names within the team names.
