Lansdowne Girls Spring Lacrosse League Lacrosse is a sport that is growing rapidly in our area today. It is a fast paced, exciting game that is providing hours of enjoyment, exercise, and friendly competition for young girls. It is also opening new doors for girls entering the High School level. Goals for the Lansdowne Lacrosse Program ü Continue to teach the value of ?fair play? and good sportsmanship ü To encourage healthy competition ü To expose our girls to new sports and alternatives ü To learn the fundamentals of Lacrosse ü To build on the fundamentals and give players a good base Please note that we want to give our girls every opportunity available to them. We are planning to work as best we can, to allow the girls to participate in other sports, such as Softball and Track. Lansdowne Girls Lacrosse participate in PAGLA (Philadelphia Area Girls Lacrosse Association) There are 3 levels of play, with age appropriate modifications that we follow. ~ 7th & 8th Grade Girls ~ 5th & 6th Grade Girls ~ 3rd & 4th Grade Girls ** Fifth grade and up is a travel league. Third and fourth grade is also travel, However, the program will display an intramural atmosphere at times. ** The season runs from the beginning of March with indoor clinics to outside play (field conditions permitting) through the first weekend in June.
