Dear Manhattan Beach Little League Parents,
 
I'm happy to report that registration for Spring Season 2009 is now open at www.mbll.org, and more than 200 kids are already pre-registered. You can also register this weekend from 2-5 at Velocity Sports Performance on Manhattan Beach Boulevard. Bring two pieces of used equipment in good condition, and your son or daughter can also participate in a free Velocity skills program. The Spring Season will begin in early March and run through June, with practices beginning in late February. There will also be several free spring training clinics for boys and girls during January and early February. MBLL provides a division of play for every boy and every girl between the ages of 5 and 14, and more than 1,700 local children enjoy Manhattan Beach Little League every year. Whether your son or daughter is a novice or exceptional in baseball or softball, Manhattan Beach Little League has exceptional fields, convenient scheduling and a noted training and development program.
 
One last thing - if your player is new to MBLL (regardless of whether your player has older MBLL siblings), we need to see a government-issued proof of date of birth (birth certificate, passport, not baptism certificate) and 3 items of proof of residence (e.g. drivers license, utility bills). Yes, 3 items for proofof residence seems like overkill, but that is the Little League requirement. You can bring them to the walk-in registration, or we will contact you to bring them to us at a later date.
