Many thanks to the players and coaches from FALL RIVER FEDERAL, FALMOUTH, LITTLE COMPTON, PORTSMOUTH, WAREHAM, and WELLESLEY for helping make this a GREAT tournament! Thanks also to the many TIVERTON volunteers who helped with concessions, scoring, announcing, and getting the fields playable despite some very tough weather situations! Thanks to the volunteer umps who donated their time! And very special thanks to DAN RAPOSO and JIM BENEDETTI, without whom we could not have gotten this done!

Tiverton Little League is pleased to extend an invitation to your organization to participate in the 8th annual Pesky Peckham Memorial Baseball Tournament for ages 9 and under. The tournament will be limited to eight teams & all teams entered are guaranteed a minimum of three games. Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and Runner-Up teams. Also, there will be three “Star of the Game” Awards handed out in every game. All proceeds from the Pesky Peckham Memorial tournament will go towards scholarships for two deserving Tiverton High School seniors who have come up through the Tiverton Little League Baseball & Softball programs.

All players must be league age 8 or 9 (based on a player’s age on April 30, 2009). Tournament rules are included with this mailing and will be adhered to; however, it should be noted that the main goal of the tournament is to encourage as much playing time as possible for players and to provide an atmosphere of friendliness, sportsmanship, and cooperation among players and coaches.

Games will be played during the weekend of July 23-26. All games will be played at the Town Farm Sporting Complex in Tiverton, RI., which consists of two beautiful baseball fields: one with a clay infield and the other with a stone dust infield. Both fields are equipped with bleachers, where spectators can enjoy the games.   

Entrance fee for this year has been set at $250 per team. We are limiting entry in the tournament to the first eight teams from whom we receive a check for $250. All subsequent checks will be returned. Please send your check along with the enclosed Registration Form to reserve your spot (Tiverton Little League, PO Box 171, Tiverton, RI 02878). Please be sure to include your contact information (Name, Phone, and Email) so that we can contact you regarding the schedule for the pre-tournament meeting.

Tiverton 9-10 Girls Defeat Barrington 2-0 to cap District II Championship. Tiverton 9-10 Girls competed in the 9-10 Softball State Tournament and finish 3rd

This coupled with the girls 11-12 District II Championship give Tiverton Little League it's first ever duel Championships in the same season.
