Hello Five Hills Track & Field Club Family. Well, it's time to show the Lone Star State competition that Jack Rabbits are worthy Track & Field Competitors. On Friday, Our Primary (6-8 year olds), Sub Bantam (9 year olds), Bantam (10 year olds), Sub Midget (11 year olds) and Midget Division (12 year olds) are going into great competition in Giddings. On Saturday, our Youth (13-14 year olds), Intermediate (15-16 year olds)and Young Men/Women Division (17-18 year olds) will finish off the competition in grand fashion. The sign in process on Friday and Saturday begin at 9:00 am. The field events (Jumps and Throwing) are scheduled to begin at 11:00 am on oth days. The running events (Sprints, Hudlers, Relays and Distance Running) are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m., but parent are advised to arrive earlier, due to the progression of the Field Events and Inclement Weather. All parents must bring their child(ren)'s originial sealed or notorized birth certificate or current U.S. Passport or military or State Identiication Card. The clerk of the Meet will stamp their AAU card once their age has been verified. Coach Griffin will leave Copperas Cove's Mc Donald's (Friday and Saturday) at 6:15 am, and connect with the Killeen area parents and athletes at the Mc Donald's across from Dennis Eakin Mazda/Jeep dealer at about 6:30 am. If you have any questions, please see Coach Griffin. The Youth, Intermediate and Young Men/Women Division still have practice on Friday. The Track will be open at 5:30 p.m. for Stretching, Run Through Mechancis and Wind Sprints. This practice is scheduled to last no more than 40 to 55 minutes. This not the time to perform a harm workout. You can run your specific event no more than an 800 meter race run through. Pay particular attention to your major muscle groups when stretching.
