Colton Hiles threw a 131 pitch complete game to get the win fanning 8 while scattering 7 hits.

The Bulldogs started slow with 3 up 3 down in the first.  The scoring started early for Wilder however, as their lead off hitter drove the first pitch of the game down 3rd baseline for a double, advanced to 3rd on a wild pitch and then scored on a sac fly to left field.  Hiles then struck out the number 2 hitter but hit the next batter with a pitch.  Pat Meisenheimer threw out the runner two pitches later as he tried to steal second.

In the top of the 2nd inning, the Bulldogs left the bases loaded with no score.
In the bottom of the 2nd, Wilder threatened to score again.  With a runner on first and 1 out, Wilder’s number 7 hitter singled to right moving the base runner to 3rd, but the batter tried to stretch the single and was thrown out at second by right fielder Kamron Trout. With the runner on 3rd, the next hitter grounded out to short to end the inning.  In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Wilder added another run to make the lead 2 - 0.

In the top of the 4th inning, with one out, short stop Kevin Ricker singled in the six hole and Bryant Van Engelenburg drew a walk.  With 2 on, Kevin Toal came to the plate and drove the ball out of Civic Stadium for a 3 run homer to give the Bulldogs a 1 run lead.  Wilder answered in the bottom of the frame with one run to tie the game at 3.

In the top half of the 5th inning, Andy Racus hit a solo homer to take a 4 – 3 lead but Wilder came back with 2 runs in the bottom of 5 to take the lead 5 – 4.

In the 6th inning, Van Engelenburg led off with a single and Wilder made a pitching change to a right handed reliever.   Toal reached on error and Meisenheimer walked to load the bases with no out.  Left handed pinch hitter Kevin Voss drove in one run on a fielder’s choice to the right side but that was all the Bulldogs would get as the dogs were doubled up to end the inning.

In the top of the 7th, with the score tied, the first two Bulldogs were retired.  Then, with 2 outs, Racus and Ricker singled and then advanced to 2nd and 3rd on stolen bases.  Robert Zink was called on to pinch run for Racus and he scored as VanEngelenburg beat out a chopped ball in the infield.  Toal then singled to score Ricker to give the Bulldogs a 2 run lead.
Wilder would not go easily however.  Facing the Wilder 2, 3, and 4 hitters, Hiles walked the first hitter on 7 pitches but struck out the next two and got a fly ball to right field to end the game.

The Bulldogs will face North Kitsap for the championship and the first seed at the NW Regional Sr. Babe Ruth tournament in Ephrata.  North Kitsap defeated the SBA Buzz in the second round.
