Thanks to everyone who came to the rink or signed up online.  Registration is now closed.  I received the B division rosters at lunchtime and I will try to get those posted later this evening.  Please note that the rosters are subject to adjustments for the first several weeks of the season in order to even out the teams.

I haven't received the A rosters yet, but they should be coming soon afterwards.

The first three games have been scheduled:

Monday, 9/15 - 10:00 PM - Teal A vs Gold A

Wednesday, 9/17 - 10:15 PM - Gold B vs Red B

Thursday, 9/18 - 10:00 PM - Navy A vs Orange A

All games will be played on the North rink for the first few weeks until the South rink reopens.

Please note this is the LAST day for online registration for returning players.  It will end around 11:00 PM tonight.  The sooner you register, the better.

For new players and players who didn't play last year (and any returning players that are interested), tonight is the last evaluation session for the league.  If you want to be placed on a team, you will need to attend if you haven't attended already.  Please see the below articles for more information on the league.

League info: 

*  20-25 games including playoffs. 

*  Season runs from September 2014 to April 2015.

* Games primarily on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursdays.  Usually one game per week, however the season will start slowly due to the closure of the South rink for the first two weeks of the season.  Games start between 9:00 PM and 10:30 PM.

*  First game of the season is scheduled for September 15th.

*  You must be 21 years old by 12/31/14 in order to be eilgible to play in the league

*  You must wear a facemask.

Registration and Tryouts:

*  Any player who did not play in the league last year is considered a new player. 

*  NEW PLAYERS MAY NOT REGISTER ONLINE FOR THE LEAGUE

*  All new players must attend at least one evaluation/tryout session.  They must check in at the picnic tables near the North rink with Paul Tomann when they arrive so he can get your jersey number and color.  Paul will be able to provide you with a registration form onsite and will collect your fees once you are placed on a team.  You may still pay via credit card at the rink.

* Once you have been evaluated, you will be assigned to a team (as long as we have room) after the final session on 9/11.  Rosters will be posted a few days after the last session.  Please note rosters may be adjusted for the first several weeks in order to make the teams as even as possible.

* The league will have 2 divisions A, which consists of A and B level players and B, which consists of B and C level players. The decision of which division you are placed in is at the sole discretion of the hockey committee.

*  Players will be assigned to teams in both divisions using a draft.  You may ask to play on a specific team, but those requests may not be able to be honored.  The main goal is to make all teams a competitive and even as possible.

Evaluation/Tryout dates:

* There is not an ice time charge to attend the evaluations/tryouts

* Wednesday. September 3, 2014 - 10:00-11:30 PM

* Monday. September 8, 2014 - 10:00 - 11:30 PM

* Thursday, September 11, 2014 - 10:00 - 11:30 PM

Fees:

* You will be asked to pay two separate fees:  the first is an ice fee (checks to City of Cleveland Heights) and is based on your residency, the second is a league fee and includes the cost of your jersey (checks made out to CHSHL).  You are responsible for both amounts.

* Cleveland Heights Resident : $150 (ice fee) + $195 (league fee) = $345 total

* Non-Resident : $230 (ice fee) +  $195 (league fee) = $425 total

Here is some basic information for the league this year:

Dates for New Player Tryouts/Returning Player (both divisions) warm-ups:

 Wednesday, September 3, 2014 - 10:00 PM

 Monday, September 8, 2014 - 10:00 PM

 Thursday, September 11, 2014 - 10:00 PM

These sessions are for all new players to try out and be evaluated for the league and for returning players to get some practice in before the season starts.  Players from both divisions are welcome to attend and ALL new players must attend at least one session in order to qualify for the league.

League information:

The league is scheduled to begin the week of 9/15 and will run through late March or early April.  There will be approximately 20 regular season games plus playoffs.  The games will usually be on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  The league will start out slowly this year as it did last year due to one of the rinks being closed until the beginning of October.

League Costs:

To be announced - There will be two fees, one based on Cleveland residency status for ice time, and a league and referee fee that is based on whether you are a new or returning player. This information will be posted shortly.

Registration:

Returning players may register online when the active site goes up at the end of this week.  ALL NEW PLAYERS MUST ATTEND ONE OF THE TRYOUT SESSIONS AND WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER WITH PAUL TOMANN AT THE RINK.
