RGMVM 2017 Update IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

In the last couple of weeks, the weather has not been good to us. The RGMVM fields are still under snow which is preventing our field staff to prepare them for the spring season. The board members met on Monday 3/20, reviewed the weather forecast and received an update from the field supervisor. To ensure the fields are prepared properly and are safe for the kids, the board has decided to postpone the start of the season by 1 week. We have one of the best Little League fields in Queens and we are proud of it, but it wouldn't be good to force the start of the season with the fields not ready. We have also received many concerns from the Managers of the teams that they were having problems trying to have practices with the weather. We believe this is the right thing to do for your child's safety. The schedules will be adjusted to provide the same amount of games to each team.
Below are the details to the parade and ceremonies.
RGMVM Little League opening day will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 and is celebrated with a parade down 78th Ave.
· Date: Saturday, April 8, 2016
· Time: 8:30 AM
· Meeting Location: Stop & Shop Parking Lot 64-66 Myrtle Avenue Ridgewood
· Parade Ends: RGMVM Little League Fields
· Attire: Full Uniforms (No bats, gloves or cleats) (Uniforms will be given to the players at practices. Coaches will have the uniforms at the parade if your child didn't receive one).
· Agenda: Opening Ceremonies, Awards & announcements
o Photographer will take team picture
o Refreshments: Hot dogs with Drinks will be given to the players.

3/31/17 - UPDATE IMPORTANT INFORMATION
TO THE START OF THE 2017 SEASON OPENING DAY PARADE
Due to extreme weather combined with snow and melting snow still on the fields we had pushed back the parade and start of the 2017 season to Saturday April 8 but we were just informed that the city does not have the personnel to let us have the parade then. We apologize again for any inconvience and the new parade date will be April 22. Games that day will be pushed back by one hour.
Please call your manager or player agent with any questions you may have. Again, thank you for your continued support.

Rain..Rain Go Away. Due To Call Of Heavy Rain All Star Sunday As Well As The Raffles And Awards Ceremonies Have Been Rescheduled For Saturday June 11. The Day's Events Will Go Off As Originally Scheduled Time Wise. Any games That Had Been Scheduled For That Day Have Been Moved. Managers Please Check The Field Bulletin Board For Make Up Dates...........
