The fields at Metcalf and Nicollet are being trashed during our games. Please remove any pop cans, water bottles, candy wrappers, etc. when you leave the games. We do not want to lose the school fields for our program because if we do.. the season is over. Pick up after yourself and your family. Thank you.
The completion of week four finds 2 undefeated teams in the AFL and 1 in the NFL.
This season also has been rife with injuries.
The total thus far has been 2 broken collar bones..1 of those resulting from a bike jumping accident..3 broken arms..nothing major and all 3 boys will be or are playing again.. 1 broken finger.. playing again..1 badly sprained or broken ankle..aside from the usual bumps and bruises associated with the game, leading to a conclusion that today's youth are not drinking enough milk... at least my conclusion...verified by asking the involved players how much milk they drink... almost none...Elsie would not be happy....
All ticket stubs should be turned in to the team parent or coach by the end of September.
If you aren't going to sell them... put your name on the stubs because you bought them...remember.. tickets are $2.00 each....
The new football field at Blackdog is progressing very well. The sprinkler and irrigation system is in and functional. The field has been fenced and seeded. Concrete slabs have been poured for the concession building and the bleachers. The new light standards are in and operational. The completion of this field will give our community the finest youth football complex in the area.
