12 Mar. '10.  For the 2nd year in a row, the Jefferson Cup tournament has been truncated due to rain and unplayable field conditions.   The tournament was canceled as a whole for the younger age groups, but the U16-U18 age groups were able to play at Stiker Park today, but the remaining two matches on Sat./Sun. were canceled.

6 Mar. '10.  After a 2-1/2 month hiatus since Disney Showcase 2009 in Dec. and limited practices due to more than 50" of accumulated snowfall on the ground, Pachuca faced off with it's new in-state rival, SAC United Premier, in the 1st game of the Region I Premier League 2010 season.  SAC bested Pachuca last year at this time, 2-0, when the Internationals were out of action since the Disney Showcase 2008 event.

SAC played very physical and mostly vertical, sending long balls into the box, and managed several strong scoring threast including a blast in full stride from about 25 yards on the right  but Seth reacted quickly to lay out and finger-tip save the hard shot.  And, another bicycle kick from about 18 yards left which fortuitiously slammed off the far post and bounched out of hamrs way.  Inter would score first about 3/4 of the way into the first half off of a nice cross by Stephen on the right end line and into the box where Schillo headed in the ball to put Inter up 1-0.

SAC continued its physcial and aggressive play in the 2nd half and continued to force the issue with balls sent into the middle of the goal area.  Md-way through the 2nd half after Inter's collapsed into the middle of the box, SAC switched a ball over to Inter's right side to an open/unguarded player who collected the ball and fired in a hard shot past Seth to tie the match, 1-1, which ended deadlocked several minutes later.

29 Dec. '09.  It would be the Internationals' 4th and final appearance at this prestigious and top-ranked tournament of highly competitive travel club and USSF Development Academy teams from around the nation.

In the 1st match on Sun., 27 Dec., the Internationals faced another team from the Lonestar state in the last month, Texas SC/DTH USSF DA.  Although the Internationals controlled most of the play throughout the match, a couple of defensive miscues provided fortuitous opportunities for the Texas team to notch 2 scores and take the game from Inter.
