Game 1: YSBA jump out of the gate early posting a 4-2 lead in the first inning. Toronto started the inning with a 2 run HR over deep centre field. YSBA tied it when Dane G hit a 2-RBI single and two more runs followed when Christian B stroked another 2-RBI single. All the runs in YSBA’s 1^st inning scored with two outs. Chris L started for YSBA and he threw four strong innings giving up just three runs (two earned) over his four innings. Toronto battled back in the 6^th inning to tie the game 5-5 but YSBA posted 5 runs in the bottom of the 6^th inning to seal the win:

Game 2: In a back and forth slug feast the teams were tied at 7’s going into the 4^th inning. Toronto would go on to take the lead scoring 8 more over the next three innings to take a 15-12 lead. In YSBA’s final at-bat the team loaded the bases with one out and the 4 and 5 hitter coming to the plate but the team came away with nothing and fell to Toronto.

Game 3: The 5^th inning made the difference in this game as YSBA and Toronto were knotted at 3’s after four innings. Toronto got to Dane G who had pitched a great game in the 5^th . YSBA battled back but could not recover the lost ground:

Game 4: The YSBA defence fell apart in the final game of the series giving up a total of 12 runs in the first two innings. Patrick J did the work himself in the second inning striking out the side to close out a disastrous 2^nd inning. Christian D came on in relief and shut down Toronto over the next 4 innings picking up 7 strikeouts, giving the YSBA pitchers a total of 10 for the game, equalling the total number of strikeouts from the previous three games. YSBA did rally back but the team eventually succumbed to the runs that were handed out in early in the game:
