Lions Roar Back Tie Central 1-1

Despite a strong first half that saw them control play Central led only 1-0 at the break. Joe Mead's Header at the 26 minute mark was the lone Raider goal to be scored that night. Chelmsford roared back ony 24 seconds into the second half as Dan Morais took the ball down the left side all alone and launched a lazer shot to the inside post high to beat John McGinness and sent the Raiders home frustrated with a 1-1 tie. Earlier in the day Lowell had beaten previouly undefeated Dracut in a crucial MVC game to up their record to 8-2-1 and 17 points, Central needed a tie to stay even with Lowell with an identical 8-2-1 league record. Both teams have two games remaining while Dracut who has 19 points and leads the MVC with a 8-1-3 record has a single game left with Central on Tuesday. image
