Junior guard Kylee Edwards was selected by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) as an Underclassman All-State Honorable Mention performer. Edwards helped lead the Golden Bears to an 11-11 regular season and averaged 17.2 points per contest. She also averaged a team leading 7.1 rebounds, 2.2 assist, and 2.3 steals. Edwards eclipsed the 1,000 point total this season to become the sixth player in school history to score over 1,000 points. She currently ranks third all-time with 1,134 total points. Program leader Gretchen Haehl scored 1,418 points in her career. Edwards has a verbal commitment to Mississippi State University to play softball following her graduation at Shelbyville High School. Congratulations to Kylee Edwards for being selected to the 2021-2022 All-Conference Team. This is the second time Edwards has been named an all HHC performer. Kylee produced 17.5 ppg, 7.1 rpg, and 2.2 apg. She also surpassed the 1,000 point mark this season and is now third on the all-time scoring list at SHS with 1,134 points and a senior season left.

Madison Phares made it official Wednesday night at Shelbyville High School in the Golden Bear room as she signed with Wilmington College. Madison has been a key piece in the rise of the girls basketball program over the past three years. Madison celebrated the event with family, friends, coaches, and teammates. Congrats and best of luck!

The Girls Basketball team traveled to Franklin Central to face #2 ranked Franklin Community in sectional play. Shelbyville capitalized on attacking the basket early on to trail 15-12 after the first quarter. Ava Wilson had four points including a lay-up at the buzzer and Kylee Edwards had five points in the quarter. Franklin outscored Shelbyville 26-7 in the second quarter to make the half time score 41-19. Again Franklin used a big third quarter to put the game out of reach taking a 59-25 lead. #2 Franklin defeated Shelbyville 73-36 to end the girls season and the Golden Bears were led by Ava Wilson’s 12 points. Edwards had 11, Phares had 7, Bassett and Brenner each had 3 points to round out the scoring. Shelbyville ended the season with 11 wins which marked the most wins since 12 in 2016.

Shelbyville will play Franklin Community on Tuesday 2/1/22 starting at 6 pm.

ADMISSION:

Tickets will be 100% digital for this event. Tickets can be purchased at the gate via QR code or
credit card. Cash will not be accepted.

Single session tickets will be sold for $6.00.

Session passes for games 1-4 will be available for $10.00 (Championship Game Not Included)
